Situated in the Komati Valley, Doornkop is malaria free and set in a private reserve of rolling hills and grassland savannahs. The Komati River and Swartwaterspruit wind their way through the reserve and fishing is available for both Yellow fish and Trout. Doornkop is fully game fenced and is currently stocked with 15 species of non-dangerous large mammals, as well as 203 species of bird. Game viewing can be enjoyed on foot, mountain bike, horseback or open top vehicles. Make time to visit the interesting ruins and discover the waterfalls and forest in the valley. Each chalet consist of 3 bedrooms (sleeps maximum 6), a communal lounge/dinning area and fully equipped kitchen. The main bedroom is en-suite and has a double bed. The second bedroom is also en-suite with two single beds. Upstairs loft with two twin beds (no bathroom en-suite occupants must share one of the two downstairs bathrooms) Linen and bath towels are provided with daily cleaning service (limited on Sundays and Public Holidays).
